Any admin in a group can make a participant an admin. A group can have an unlimited number of admins.

Note: The original creator of a group can't be removed and will always remain an admin unless they exit the group.

To make a participant an admin:

1. Open the WhatsApp group chat, then click the subject.
   • Alternatively, click Menu ( or ) in the top corner > Group info.
2. Hover over the participant you want to make an admin, then click Menu .
3. Click Make group admin > MAKE GROUP ADMIN.

To dismiss an admin:

1. Open the WhatsApp group chat, then click the subject.
   • Alternatively, click Menu ( or ) in the top corner > Group info.
2. Hover over the admin you want to dismiss, then click Menu .
3. Click Dismiss as admin.

To make multiple participants admins at the same time:

1. Open the WhatsApp group chat, then click the subject.
   • Alternatively, click Menu ( or ) in the top corner > Group info.
2. Click Group Settings > Edit group admins.
3. Check the participants you want to make admins.
4. Click the green check mark when you're finished.

To dismiss multiple admins at the same time:

1. Open the WhatsApp group chat, then click the subject.
   • Alternatively, click Menu ( or ) in the top corner > Group info.
2. Click Group Settings > Edit group admins.
3. Uncheck the admins you want to dismiss.
4. Click the green check mark when you're finished.
