How to mute or unmute a contact’s status update
You can mute the status updates of a particular contact so they won't appear towards the top of your Status tab anymore.
Mute a contact’s status update
- Open WhatsApp > Status.
- Select the contact you no longer wish to view status updates from.
- Press Mute > Mute.
Unmute a contact’s status update
- Open WhatsApp > Status.
- Scroll down to the View muted updates section.
- Select the contact’s status update you wish to unmute.
- Press Unmute > UNMUTE.
