You can easily connect with a business on WhatsApp by scanning their WhatsApp QR code. The WhatsApp camera can only scan official WhatsApp QR codes.

Scan a business’ QR code

Scan in person

1. Open WhatsApp > Settings.
2. Tap the QR icon displayed next to your name.
3. Tap Scan > OK.
4. Hold your device over the QR code to scan.
5. Tap Continue to chat.

You can also scan with the WhatsApp camera:

1. Open WhatsApp > tap Camera.
2. Hold your device over the QR code to scan.

On iPhone 6s and newer, you can tap and hold the WhatsApp icon on your home screen to view the quick action menu. Then, tap Camera to open the WhatsApp camera.

Scan from Photos

1. Open WhatsApp > Settings.
2. Tap the QR icon displayed next to your name.
3. Tap Scan, then tap the Photos icon on the bottom of the screen.
4. Select the image with WhatsApp QR code to scan.

Scan from WhatsApp camera

1. Open WhatsApp > tap Camera.
2. Tap the Photos icon on the bottom of the screen.
3. Select the image with the WhatsApp QR code to scan.
