You must be a group admin to add or remove participants from an existing group. A group can have 256 participants.

Adding participants

To add a participant:

1. Go to the group in WhatsApp.
2. Click the subject of the group.
   • Alternatively, click Menu ( or ) in the top right corner > Group info.
3. Click Add participant .
4. Search for or select a contact to add to the group.
5. Click the green check mark .
6. Click ADD PARTICIPANT.

Removing participants

To remove a participant:

1. Go to the group in WhatsApp.
2. Click the subject of the group.
   • Alternatively, click Menu ( or ) in the top right corner > Group info.
3. Hover over the participant you wish to remove, then click Menu .
4. Click Remove > REMOVE.
