About using optional Facebook Company features if you opted out of sharing WhatsApp account information with Facebook

We recognize that some users in 2016 opted out of sharing their WhatsApp account information with Facebook to improve their Facebook ads and product experiences. Since then, we have started to provide new optional features that help connect your WhatsApp experiences with other Facebook Companies. These features may require sharing of your information with Facebook as described in the applicable privacy policy. You have the option not to use these features.

  • Facebook Shops: If you choose to use this feature, WhatsApp does not share your account information with Facebook in order for you to view products in a Facebook shop.
