WhatsApp occasionally limits groups from using the “Invite to Group via Link” feature in order to address unwanted contact, abuse of our groups feature, spam, or other Terms of Service violations.

WhatsApp uses a number of different methods to detect potential Terms of Service violations, including use of advanced machine learning technology to evaluate information about a group, and user reports.

The “Invite to Group via Link” feature will normally become available again after 7 days.
