How to add shortcuts to AI experiences to your phone’s home screen

You can add widgets to your device’s home screen to quickly access Meta AI experiences available through WhatsApp. Widgets provide shortcuts to the features that matter to you most.
Widgets you might have available to add include:
  • Ask Meta AI: Chat with Meta AI using text prompts.
  • Meta AI voice: Chat with Meta AI using voice prompts.
  • Meta AI camera: Prompt Meta AI with a new or existing image.
Note: These features are currently only available in limited countries and might not be available to you yet, even if other users in your country have access.

Add widgets

  1. Tap and hold your phone’s home screen.
  2. Tap Widgets.
  3. Type WhatsApp in the search bar, then tap WhatsApp.
  4. Tap Meta AI.
  5. Tap Add.
    • To add more than one widget, repeat the steps.
    • Once added, you have the option to adjust the location of your widgets.
Tap the widget to quickly ask Meta AI, prompt Meta AI with an image, or chat with Meta AI using voice prompts.

Remove widgets

  1. Tap and hold the widget.
    • On Pixel, drag the widget to the top of your home screen.
  2. Tap Remove.
