How to approve new members as a group admin

If Approve new members is turned on in Group permissions, admins will need to approve anyone who wants to join the group.
Note: The Approve new members setting is turned off by default, so every member that requests to join the group will be able to join. Learn more in this article.
When reviewing a request, group admins can see the source of the request to better help them make decisions. The admin can choose to approve or reject the request. If an admin doesn’t have enough information about the person requesting to join, they can click the user’s name to view their contact info and start a chat with them.

Approve new members

If you’re an admin, you’ll see a notification in the group chat if there are pending requests. If you approve a request, the person will be added to the group. If you dismiss a request, they won’t be added.
  1. Open the group chat, then click Review to view Pending Members.
  2. Choose to:
    • Approve a request to join the group: Click
      checkmark
      .
    • Dismiss a request: Click X.
