Can't create or share status
If you can’t create or share a status, below are a few potential solutions to try.
Connectivity
Some issues caused by connectivity problems include photos you upload to status appearing blurry.
To help resolve this:
- Ensure you and the other person have a strong mobile internet or Wi-Fi connection. Find out what to do if you can’t connect to WhatsApp.
- Try connecting to mobile data if you're on Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi if you're on mobile data.
- Contact your mobile provider.
Device storage
Check that you’ve got enough storage space on your device. You need at least 1GB of free space to share a status.
Check the media file
If you’re trying to upload an image or video, check that the file isn’t corrupt. Videos can have a maximum duration of 60 seconds, and can only be uploaded in 3GP or MP4 format.
Note: The quality of media, such as images, GIFs, videos, and pictures uploaded into WhatsApp Status may be lower than the original version. This is because media files are usually compressed when shared on WhatsApp.
Restart your device
Restarting your device can help reset apps. Try turning it off and on again.
WhatsApp version
Update WhatsApp to the latest version available for your device.
