How to link a device with QR code on the WhatsApp Business app

You can use WhatsApp Business on up to four linked devices at once without having to keep your primary phone connected. You’ll need to log in to your primary phone every 14 days to keep linked devices connected to your WhatsApp Business account.
Business Tip: By subscribing to WhatsApp Business Premium, you can connect up to 10 devices so you and your team can handle customer inquiries more quickly. You can even assign chats to specific agents.

Link a web, desktop, or tablet device with QR code

  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app on your primary phone.
  2. Tap
    more options
    > Linked devices > Link a device.
  3. Point your phone at the screen of the device you want to link and scan the QR code.

Link a companion phone to your WhatsApp Business account with QR code

You can now connect your WhatsApp Business account to companion phones. Successfully linked companion phones will show “This is a linked device. Learn more” in Settings.
Note:
  • Live location and add status features aren’t available when you link companion phones.
  • For the best experience, update to the latest version of the WhatsApp Business app.

Link an Android companion phone

  1. Download the WhatsApp Business app on your Android companion phone.
  2. Open the WhatsApp Business app and tap Agree and continue.
  3. Tap
    more options
    > Link as companion device. You’ll see a QR code to be scanned by your primary phone.
  4. Open the WhatsApp Business app on your primary phone.
    • Android primary phone: Tap
      more options
      > Linked devices > Link a device.
    • iPhone primary phone: Go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices > Link a Device.
  5. Unlock your primary phone.
    • If your device has biometric authentication, follow the on-screen instructions.
    • If you don’t have biometric authentication enabled, you’ll be prompted to enter the PIN you use to unlock your phone.
  6. Scan the Android companion phone QR code with your primary phone.
