How to add and remove group participants

You can add or remove group participants if you’re a group admin. A group can have up to 1024 participants.
Add participants
  1. Open the WhatsApp group chat, then press Options > Add participants.
    • Alternatively, select the group in your chats list. Then press Options > Group info > Add participants.
  2. Search for or select contacts to add to the group.
  3. Press Done.
Remove participants
  1. Open the WhatsApp group chat, then press Options > Group info.
    • Alternatively, select the group in your chats list. Then press Options > Group info.
  2. Select the participant you want to remove.
  3. Press Options > Remove from group > REMOVE.
