How to create and maintain a catalog

To provide your customers easy access to your business’s latest offerings, keep your catalog updated.
Add a product or service to your catalog
- Go to WhatsApp Settings > Business Tools > Catalog.
- If creating a new catalog, tap Add new item.
- Tap the plus icon or Add new item. Then, tap Add Images.
- Tap Choose Photo to upload images from your Photos or Take Photo to take new images. You can upload up to 10 images.
- Enter a product or service name, along with any optional details like:
- Price
- Description
- Website link
- Product or service code
- Tap Save.
Note: Every image uploaded to the catalog is subject to a review, which confirms that the image, product, or service meets the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
Once a product or service is approved, it’s automatically added to the catalog. However, if it's rejected, a red exclamation icon will be displayed next to the image.
If you think your item was wrongly rejected, you can appeal the decision:
- Tap the rejected item.
- Tap Request another review.
- Enter your reason for the request.
- Tap Continue.
If you reviewed the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and your appeal was rejected, send us a reply explaining your request for a third review.
Control which products or services customers can see
Hide catalog items
- Go to WhatsApp Settings > Business Tools > Catalog.
- Tap a product or service > > Edit.
- Turn on Hide this item.
- Tap Save.
- Alternatively, swipe left on an item in your Catalog manager. Then, tap Hide > Hide.
Note: Hidden items still appear in your catalog manager with over the item image. On the product detail page, a note also indicates when an item is hidden.
Unhide catalog items
- Go to WhatsApp Settings > Business Tools > Catalog.
- Tap a hidden product or service > Edit.
- Turn off Hide this item.
- Tap Save.
- Alternatively, swipe left on an item in your catalog manager. Then, tap Unhide > Unhide.
Create and manage collections in your catalog
You can create collections within your catalog to make it easier for customers to find the products and services they’re looking for. Learn more about how to create and manage collections.
Delete a product or service from your catalog
- Go to WhatsApp Settings > Business Tools > Catalog.
- Swipe left on a product. Then, tap Delete > Delete.
- Alternatively, select the image of the product or service you want to delete. Then, tap Edit > Delete > Delete.
