How to create and maintain a catalog

To provide your customers easy access to your business’s latest offerings, keep your catalog updated.

Add a product or service to your catalog

  1. Tap
    more options
    > Settings > Business tools > Catalog.
  2. Tap Add new item.
  3. Tap Add photos and videos.
  4. Tap Gallery to upload images and videos from your device or Camera to take new images or videos. You can upload up to 10 images or videos, and the size limit for a video is 50 MB.
    • Note: Video thumbnail images are automatically generated when a video is uploaded and cannot be edited at this time.
  5. Enter a product or service name, along with any optional details like:
    • Price
    • Sale price
    • Description
    • Website link
    • Product or service code
  6. Tap Save.
Note: Every image and video uploaded to the catalog is subject to a review, which confirms that the image, video, product, or service meets the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
Once a product or service is approved, it’s automatically added to the catalog. However, if it's rejected, a red exclamation icon will be displayed next to the image.
If you think your item was wrongly rejected, you can appeal the decision:
  1. Tap the rejected item.
  2. Tap Request another review.
  3. Enter your reason for the request.
  4. Tap Continue.
If you reviewed the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and your appeal was rejected, send us a reply explaining your request for a third review.

Control which products or services customers can find

Note: This feature might not be available to you yet.

Hide catalog items

  1. Tap
    more options
    > Settings > Business tools > Catalog.
  2. You can hide items individually or in bulk.
    • To hide an individual item, tap the item to open the product detail page. Then, tap
      more options
      > Hide > Hide.
    • To hide items in bulk, press and hold an item until the green check mark appears. Then, tap other items you want to hide >

      > Hide.
Note: Hidden items will still appear in your catalog manager with
hide catalog item
over the item image. On the product detail page, a note appears indicating that you hid this item.

Unhide catalog items

  1. Tap
    more options
    > Settings > Business tools > Catalog.
  2. You can unhide items individually or in bulk.
    • To unhide a single item, tap the item to open the product detail page. Then, tap
      more options
      > Unhide > Unhide.
    • To unhide items in bulk, press and hold one of the items you want to unhide. Then, tap other items you want to unhide >
      unhide catalog item
      > Unhide.

Create and manage collections in your catalog

You can create collections within your catalog to make it easier for customers to find the products and services they’re looking for. Learn more about how to create and manage collections.

Share a product or service from your catalog

You can share a link to products or services from your catalog in a chat or on your status in WhatsApp, or with a third-party messaging app. Learn more about how to share a product or service from your catalog.

Delete a product or service from your catalog

  1. Tap
    more options
    > Settings> Business tools > Catalog.
  2. Long press the image of a product or service.
  3. Tap the delete icon, then tap Delete.
Alternatively, select the image of the product or service you want to delete. Then, tap
more options
> Delete > Delete.
