Can't send marketing messages

Marketing messages is now business broadcasts in some countries. Business broadcasts might not be available to you yet. If you're seeing business broadcasts, please refer to this article.
If you are unable to send marketing messages from your account, it’s possible that the feature isn’t available to you yet or your account was flagged for violating Meta Terms for WhatsApp Marketing Messages.
Your customers (existing and potential) should expect the messages and calls they receive.
You can set this expectation by:
  • Getting their opt-in for the different categories of messages they should expect from your account (ex: order updates, relevant offers, product recommendations, etc.)
  • Getting a separate opt-in to call the user
  • Provide clear instructions on how to opt out of receiving specific categories of messages or calls, and honor these requests.
  • Ensure your opt-in and opt-out flows are clearly stated.
  • Clearly communicate the value of receiving this information on WhatsApp.
This will prevent the risk of recipients blocking your business due to unwanted messages.
If a significant number of users report or block your account due to unwanted messages, your business account will receive a warning. However, if you continue to send spam from your business account, marketing messages will be suspended on the business account for three days.
Access to the marketing messages will be automatically reinstated on the date and time shown in the app. There is nothing else for you to do to get the access back.

Scheduled messages

If you had scheduled marketing messages before your account was blocked, those messages won’t be sent. Your account will not be charged for these scheduled messages.
