How to add a WhatsApp Business account to a Facebook Page

When using the WhatsApp Business app, you can link your Facebook Page with your WhatsApp Business account.
Business Tip: Linking your WhatsApp Business account enables customers visiting your Facebook Page to message you directly on WhatsApp with just one click.
To link these accounts and enable syncing, you must have the following:
  • A Facebook page for your business.
  • An account on the WhatsApp Business app.
  • The latest versions of the mobile apps.
Link your WhatsApp Business account to a Facebook Page
You can link your accounts from within the WhatsApp Business app.
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. On Android, tap More options. On iPhone, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Business tools > Facebook & Instagram.
  4. Tap Facebook > CONTINUE. This will open the Facebook login page.
  5. Enter the login information for your Facebook account. Tap Log In.
  6. Select the Facebook Page you want to link to your WhatsApp Business account. Tap Connect WhatsApp. .
    • If you don’t have a Facebook Page, you’ll have the option to create one.
You’ll now see a WhatsApp button on your Facebook page.
Once you return to the WhatsApp Business app, you’ll see your linked Facebook Page at the top of the Facebook & Instagram screen.
Sync your Facebook and WhatsApp business information
When you sync your accounts, any changes made to your business information on your Facebook Page will automatically reflect on your WhatsApp business profile.
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. On Android, tap More options. On iPhone, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Business tools > Facebook & Instagram.
  4. Tap the Facebook Account you’d like to sync with the WhatsApp Business app.
  5. Turn on Sync profile with Page > Enable. On iPhone, turn on Sync profile with page.
This sync only works one way—from your Facebook Page to the WhatsApp Business app. For example: if you try to change the business hours on the WhatsApp Business app, you’ll get a warning message that the syncing will stop. If you continue to edit your business hours, your WhatsApp Business account will reflect the new hours, and your Facebook Page will show the old hours.
Note: Once the sync is enabled, it will work on both web and mobile.
Remove your linked Facebook account from the WhatsApp Business app
If you no longer want your accounts to be connected, you can unlink your Facebook and WhatsApp accounts from the Whatsapp Business app.
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. On Android, tap More options. On iPhone, tap Settings.
  3. Tap Business tools > Facebook & Instagram.
  4. Tap your linked Facebook account > Remove WhatsApp > REMOVE.
Once you’ve removed your account, it’ll no longer be visible on the Facebook & Instagram screen.
