There’s an issue with the microphone color not updating once a voice message has been played. We're working to fix it as soon as possible. In the meantime, please keep WhatsApp updated on your device. Updates are released regularly and may contain fixes for bugs and other issues.
WhatsApp voice messaging allows you to instantly communicate with contacts and groups. You can use it to deliver important and time-sensitive information. All voice messages are downloaded automatically.

Send a voice message

  1. Open an individual or group chat.
  2. Click
    Microphone (microphone)

  3. Once finished, click
    Checkmark (checkmark)
    .
    • While recording a voice message, you can click the X icon to cancel it.
    • While recording, you can also click
