How to use broadcast lists on the WhatsApp Business app

Broadcast lists are saved lists of contacts that allow you to message many of your customers at once. When you send a message to a broadcast list, the message will be sent to all customers on the list, as long as they have your number saved in their phones’ address book. If any of your customers reply to your message, their reply will appear as a normal message in your CHATS screen. It will not be sent to other customers on your broadcast list.
Create a broadcast list
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. Tap More options

    > New Broadcast.
  3. Search for or select the contacts you want to add.
  4. Tap the check mark

Create a broadcast list using labels
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. Tap More options
    more options
    > Labels.
  3. Tap the label you want to create a broadcast list for.
  4. Tap More options
    more options
    > Message customers.
  5. Tap the check mark

    to draft and send your message.
Note: Only contacts who’ve added your number to their phone's address book will receive your broadcast message. If your contact isn’t receiving your broadcast messages, check to make sure they’ve added you to their address book. Broadcast lists are a one-to-many communication. If you want your recipients to participate in a group conversation, you should create a group chat instead.
Edit a broadcast list
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. Open your broadcast list.
  3. Tap More options
    more options
    > Broadcast list info.
  4. In the broadcast list info screen you can:
    • Change the name of your broadcast list: Tap Edit
      text edit
      > input new name > tap OK.
    • Add customers to your broadcast list: Tap Edit recipients
      add
      > search for or select the customers you want to add.
    • Remove customers from your broadcast list: Tap Edit recipients

      > tap customers you want to remove > tap the check mark

Delete a broadcast list
  1. Open the WhatsApp Business app.
  2. Tap and hold the broadcast list you want to delete.
  3. Tap Delete broadcast list

    > DELETE.
    • Note: Tap the checkbox for Delete media in this chat if you want to delete all media sent over a broadcast list.
Alternatively, open the broadcast list you want to delete, then tap More options

> Broadcast list info > Delete broadcast list > DELETE.
