About updates to WhatsApp’s Business Terms
We’re updating our terms of service for business users to keep up-to-date with the laws in different countries.
These updates don’t change how we secure personal or business messages. WhatsApp protects your personal messages with end-to-end encryption, meaning no one, not even WhatsApp, can read or listen to them.
WhatsApp considers chats with businesses that use the WhatsApp Business app or manage and store customer messages themselves to be end-to-end encrypted. You can learn more about the privacy and security of messages on the WhatsApp Business Platform here.
Updates like this make it possible for you and others around the world to continue using WhatsApp to connect with customers.
Our updated terms will apply to anyone using WhatsApp Business Services, including WhatsApp Business App or WhatsApp Business Platform, starting on December 15, 2022. You’ve already agreed to these terms when you started using WhatsApp Business Services if you joined on or after September 27, 2021.
