How to move your account information from the WhatsApp Business app to WhatsApp Messenger

Before you move your account information from the WhatsApp Business app to WhatsApp Messenger, create a Google Drive backup of your information. Learn how to create a backup in this article.
To move your account information from the WhatsApp Business app to WhatsApp Messenger:
- Update the WhatsApp Business app and download WhatsApp Messenger from the Google Play Store.
- Open WhatsApp Messenger.
- Read the WhatsApp Messenger Terms of Service. Tap AGREE AND CONTINUE to accept the terms.
- Enter the phone number associated with your account on the WhatsApp Business app. Then tap NEXT.
- Tap SWITCH to continue.
- Tap CONTINUE to verify your phone number by receiving a call from WhatsApp.
- Note: You can also verify your phone number by receiving an SMS with a 6-digit code. Tap VERIFY WITH SMS. When you receive the SMS, enter the 6-digit code.
- Tap CONTINUE > Allow > Allow to allow WhatsApp Messenger to access your contacts, photos, and other media. Or tap NOT NOW.
- WhatsApp Messenger will find the most recent backup of your account information. Tap RESTORE to restore your account information.
- Tap NEXT.
- Enter your name, then tap NEXT.
Note: While it’s possible to move some of your account information from the WhatsApp Business app to WhatsApp Messenger, it’s not possible to move all of it. Account information associated with features unique to the WhatsApp Business app, like catalog items and collections, cannot be transferred.
