Send stickers

You can access stickers in individual and group chats. To view and use stickers, open a chat, then:
  1. Tap
    Sticker (square with smiley face with folded corner)
    .
  2. Select and tap a sticker.
    • The sticker will be sent as soon as you tap it.

Discover and manage sticker packs

A number of suggested sticker packs from the WhatsApp Sticker Store are shown underneath any downloaded packs. You can tap any of these stickers to send them, or tap
Add sticker (two overlapping squares with plus sign)
to view the whole pack.
To find more sticker packs:
  1. Tap
    Emoji (smiley face)
    >
    Stickers (square with folded corner)
    >
    Add sticker (two overlapping squares with plus sign)
    .
  2. Tap
    Download stickers (down arrow within circle)
    next to the sticker pack you want to download.
  3. Check (checkmark within circle)
    will appear once the download is complete.
  4. Tap
    Back (left arrow)
    .
To find stickers in the Google Play Store:
  1. Tap
    Add sticker (two overlapping squares with plus sign)
    .
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the All stickers tab.
  3. Tap Discover sticker apps.
Note: Stickers downloaded outside of WhatsApp might not be searchable if the creator didn’t follow WhatsApp guidelines when tagging them.
To view, reorder and remove sticker packs you’ve downloaded:
  1. Open an individual or group chat.
  2. Tap
    Add sticker (two overlapping squares with plus sign)
    .
  3. Tap My stickers.
  4. Tap and hold
    Drag item (two parallel horizontal lines)
    to rearrange sticker packs.
  5. Tap
    Delete (trash can)
    to remove a sticker pack.
To find out who the sticker pack belongs to:
  1. Open an individual or group chat.
  2. Tap
    Emoji (smiley face)
    >
    Stickers (square with folded corner)
    .
  3. Tap and hold the sticker.
  4. Tap View pack to see who owns and who created the sticker pack.
Note: You might need to update WhatsApp to be able to use stickers.

Search for stickers

Open an individual or group chat. To find specific stickers you’ve downloaded or discover new ones, tap
Search (magnifying glass)
and search for stickers using text or emoji.
  • Under My stickers you’ll see stickers you’ve downloaded.
  • Under More stickers you’ll see stickers available to download from WhatsApp and third-party providers. Note: Online sources will use search terms to find relevant results.
If your stickers appear blank, you may have a corrupted backup. Learn more here.

Share avatar stickers

You can share stickers of your avatar, including social stickers with yours and another person’s avatar, to your chats and channels.
  1. Tap
    Sticker (square with smiley face with folded corner)
    .
  2. Tap your avatar or the avatar icon.
  3. Select and tap a sticker.
    • The sticker will be sent as soon as you tap it.

Organize your stickers

To reorder or remove an individual sticker:
  1. Tap and hold the sticker.
  2. From here, take one of the following actions:
    • Tap
      Move To Top (up arrow within circle)
      to move the sticker to the top of Recent.
    • Tap
      Delete (trash can)
      to remove the sticker.
To reorder or remove multiple stickers at once:
  1. Tap
    Edit Sticker (pencil)
    .
  2. Tap to select the stickers.
  3. From here, take one of the following actions:
    • Tap
      Move To Top (up arrow within circle)
      to move the sticker to the top of Recent.
    • Tap
      Delete (trash can)
      to remove the sticker.
Note: Tapping
Delete (trash can)
doesn't delete the sticker, it will just no longer appear in that category (for example, Favorites or Recent).

Update your sticker packs

To update one your existing sticker packs:
  1. Tap
    Add sticker (two overlapping squares with plus sign)
    .
  2. In the All stickers tab, tap Update next to the sticker pack.
  3. Check (checkmark within circle)
    will appear once the update is complete.
