How to manage channel notifications

When you follow a channel, notifications are muted by default. To get alerts about new updates, you can choose to turn on notifications for a channel. When turned on, notifications will work the same as they do for your WhatsApp personal messages. Learn how to customize things like notification sounds, vibrations and more.

How to turn notifications on and off

  • Open the channel, and tap the Notification bell.
    • notifications off
      means notifications are turned off. Tap to turn them on.
    • channels notifications on
      means notifications are turned on. Tap to turn them off.
  • Go to the channel info page and tap to turn notifications on or off.
