On WhatsApp Web, you can continue a conversation with AI’s created by everyday users and third-party creators. You can ask questions, receive helpful recommendations, and talk about interests. Messages from AIs are generated by artificial intelligence (AI), using a technology from Meta, in response to the prompts you send to the AI.
Note:
- This feature is currently only available in limited countries and might not be available to you yet, even if other users in your country have access.
- At this time, only English, Arabic, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese are supported.
AI chats by third-party creators are an optional service from Meta. They have an AI by {creator name} label under their profile name so you can easily identify them. Meta may use the messages from these AI chats to improve the quality of its AI.
When you chat with an AI by {creator name}, none of your AI chats or personal information are shared with that third-party AI creator. AI’s by third-party creators are subject to AI Studio Policies. To help limit the frequency with which AIs produce inaccurate or inappropriate responses, Meta reviews these AIs before they can be published. You can also report or stop messaging with AIs by third-party creators at any time.

Some messages generated by AIs might not be accurate or appropriate. You can report an AI or provide feedback to Meta about responses from Meta AI. Learn how in this article.
Note:
- This is an optional feature provided by Meta. Your personal messages and calls remain end-to-end encrypted, meaning not even WhatsApp or Meta can see or listen to them.
- Only messages that mention @Meta AI, or that people choose to share with Meta AI, can be read by Meta. Meta can’t read any other messages in your personal chats.
- Meta uses AI chats consistent with Meta's Privacy Policy. By using this feature, you agree to Meta's AI Terms of Service.
- AIs aren’t licensed professionals or experts trained to help people. Chats with AIs can’t replace professional advice. You shouldn’t rely on AI chats for medical, psychological, financial, legal, or any other type of professional advice. Visit Meta’s AI Terms of Service for appropriate ways to use AIs for self-help or other purposes.
