How to request a review for a closed channel

Your channel might be closed if an update violates our Channel Guidelines. To help keep your channel open, you can follow our Channel Guidelines and local laws.
When your channel is closed, followers can’t see your channel history and you can’t share new updates.

You can reopen your channel by deleting the update, or you can request a review or submit an appeal to dispute the enforcement action.
Delete a reported update
You can delete an update that violates our Channel Guidelines.
  1. Open your channel.
  2. Click Channel alerts > Your channel is closed.
    • If you don’t see Channel alerts, click the channel name > Channel alerts > Your channel is closed.
  3. Click Delete from channel > Delete.
The update will be permanently deleted for all followers and your channel will be reopened.
Request review or submit an appeal
Channel admins can request a review or submit an appeal if you think your channel was closed by mistake.
  1. Open your channel.
  2. Click Channel alerts > Your channel is closed > See options.
    • Request a review: Click Request a review > Request review.
    • Submit an appeal: Click Submit an appeal, then fill in the appeal form and submit.
If your dispute is successful, your update will be restored and your channel will be reopened.
To see the status of your request, click Channel alerts > Update in Review or Update Review Completed.
File a dispute
Users in the European Region can also file a dispute with a Dispute Settlement Body using a reference number. To find your reference number:
  1. Open your channel.
  2. Click Channel alerts >Your channel is closed > See options.
  3. Click Refer to Dispute Settlement body > Continue > Get reference number.
  4. Copy the reference number and click Close.
Note:
  • All channel updates are removed from our servers after 30 days. This means that even if your channel is restored, your updates might not be available.
  • Review requests can only be submitted once per alert, and only channel admins can submit requests. While only one of the admin can submit the review request, all admins can see the progress.
