What if my business already has a verified badge?

Your business might have received a verified badge previously to indicate that your account was official. If you have a verified badge today, you keep your verified status. No action is required from you.
Add Protected business accounts after subscribing
If your business has multiple accounts on WhatsApp, you’ll need to add those accounts as Protected business accounts after purchasing a subscription for Meta Verified for businesses on WhatsApp. This helps protect associated accounts from being falsely banned for impersonation. Update business information before subscribing

Before subscribing to Meta Verified for businesses on WhatsApp, verify that the following business and account information are up-to-date. Making changes to this information after you’ve subscribed may result in your subscription being canceled.
Business profile information
Your WhatsApp business profile business information such as business name, category, address, email, or website, will be locked once you’ve subscribed to Meta Verified. You will not be able to update these without losing your verified status.
Profile picture
Your profile picture will be locked for 20 days. After that period of time, you’ll be able to apply to update your profile picture twice every 60 days. This helps us keep WhatsApp safe for everyone, and to protect your account from being impersonated.
Linked accounts on Facebook or Instagram
Once you’ve subscribed to Meta Verified, any attempts to link a Facebook or Instagram account to your WhatsApp Business account will result in your verification being canceled and you’ll have to resubscribe. Learn how to link Facebook and Instagram accounts to your WhatsApp business accounts in this article.
Additionally, if your WhatsApp business account is linked to a Facebook or Instagram account in the Meta Business Suite, you may be redirected to sign in to that account and complete the subscription process on Meta Business Suite. Learn more about linked accounts in this article.
Changing your business information or linking a Facebook page or Instagram account to your profile after you’ve subscribed to Meta Verified, your verification will be canceled and you’ll need to resubscribe with your new information. Note that canceling your Meta Verified subscription removes all but your 4 most recently used linked devices and removes your web page from the web 15 days after your subscription expires. The link address becomes available for others to claim 30 days after your subscription expires.
