Can't change or assign group admin

If you’re a group admin, you can make a group member an admin.
If you’re unable to make another member an admin, it might be because:
  • You’re not a group admin.
  • You and the member aren’t on the latest version of WhatsApp.
  • The member is already an admin.
  • The member is no longer in the group.
  • There’s a network issue.
Note: WhatsApp can’t interfere with group administration functions. For example, we can't make someone an admin.
