How to respond to events

You can find and join events in groups to help organize gatherings and stay connected.
You can’t see or join events created before you joined the group. The event creator has to delete the event and create a new one to let you see the event and respond.

Find events

When members add an event to a group or community, it’ll appear as an event message in the group chat.
You can see all upcoming events from your community and group info.
  • In a group chat: Click the group name > Events.
  • In a community: Click Events.
Note: You can only see events in groups you’re a member of.

Respond to an event

  1. Click Respond.
  2. Click Going, Maybe, or Not going.
If you respond Going or Maybe, you’ll receive a notification when the event creator edits or cancels the event. There’ll also be a message in the group chat.
