About receiving security codes on linked devices
For security, one-time passcodes received on WhatsApp will appear only on a user's primary device (the phone that you used to register your WhatsApp account).
Users who have received a one-time passcode on their primary device will receive the following message on all linked devices:
- You received a one-time passcode. For added security, you can only see it on your primary device for WhatsApp.
If you are expecting to receive a one-time passcode and receive this message instead, check your primary device.
