Note: Any WhatsApp user you share an invite link with can join the group, so only use this feature with people you trust. It’s possible for someone to forward the link to other people, who could then join the group without additional approval from the group admin.

Group admins can change group settings to allow members to invite others to a group.

- Choose to turn on Invite via group link.
- When turned on, any member of the group can share a link to invite people to join the group.
- When turned off, only admins can create a link to invite people to join the group.
Note: If Approve new members is turned on, admins will still need to approve new members. Learn more about how to change group admin settings in this article.

Group admins can check if the group has any pending invites. Members who have sent an invite can also check the status of their invitation.
