How to forward from channels to chat or status

Easily share interesting channels or channel updates with friends and family by forwarding them on WhatsApp. You can forward from a channel to individual or group chats, or to your WhatsApp Status.
If you’re a channel admin or owner, you can also forward channel content to your own channel.
You can’t forward from channels to status from WhatsApp Web. Use your primary device instead.
Forward channel updates
To share a single channel update:
- Click next to the update you want to forward.
- Choose where to forward:
- Chats: Select or search for the chats you want. Pick up to 5 individual or group chats.
- Channels: If you’re a channel admin, search for your channel to forward to it. It will be labeled "Forwarded" and link back to the original channel. Learn more.
- Click .
To forward multiple updates at one time:
- Hover over the update and click > Forward.
- Click the checkbox to the left to add additional updates to forward.
- Click and choose where to forward:
- Chats: Select or search for the chats you want. Pick up to 5 individual or group chats.
- Channels: If you’re a channel admin, search for your channel to forward to it. It will be labeled "Forwarded" and link back to the original channel. Learn more.
- Click .
Forwarded channel updates will be labeled "Forwarded" and link back to the original channel.
You can share a link to a channel to your chats, status, and outside of WhatsApp.
- Click Channels.
- Click the channel and then click the channel name.
- To share within WhatsApp: Click Forward and select or search for chats. Click .
- To share outside of WhatsApp: Click Copy link and share it where you’d like.
Note:
- If an update or share link has already been forwarded you can forward it to five more chats, including a maximum of one group chat.
- If an update has already been forwarded many times, you can only forward it to one chat at a time.
