Mac
You can protect your internet protocol (IP) address from others on WhatsApp calls by relaying all of your calls through WhatsApp’s servers. If you turn on Protect IP address in calls, your calls won’t be connected directly and will avoid revealing your IP address to the person you’re calling.

Edit Protect IP address

To access this setting:
  1. Tap
    more options
    > Settings > Privacy.
  2. Tap Advanced.
  3. Turn Protect IP address in calls on or off.
Note:
  • Group calls are always relayed through WhatsApp’s servers by default.
  • When using call relaying, you might find the call quality is reduced.
  • Calls relayed through WhatsApp servers are end-to-end encrypted, like all calls on WhatsApp.
