How to view, like, and reply to status updates

You can view, reply and react to statuses on your Status page on WhatsApp Web. For now, status likes aren't available on web.
Note: We’re building and testing out new features that may not be available to you yet. In the meantime, we recommend keeping WhatsApp updated on your device so you can get the feature as soon as it's available.

View status updates

  1. Click
    status
    .
  2. Click your contact’s profile picture.
Statuses from muted contacts are hidden under Muted. Click Show to see the muted statuses or click Hide to hide them.

Reply to status updates

Replies are sent to your shared chat and labeled as Status. You can reply with text and emojis.
  1. Click
    status

  2. Click your contact’s profile picture.
  3. While the status is displayed, click Type a Reply…
  4. Type your reply.
    • Click
      emoji
      to add an emoji.
  5. Click
    send
    to share.

React to status updates

Reactions are like quick replies that are shared as soon as you tap them. They are sent to your shared chat and labeled as Status. You can react with stickers and emojis.
  1. Click
    status
    .
  2. Click your contact’s profile picture.
  3. While the status is displayed, click Type a Reply…
    • Click one of the displayed emojis to react with an emoji.
    • Click
      sticker
      to react with a sticker.
  4. As soon as you click a sticker or emoji, it'll be sent to your shared chat.
