Meta AI through WhatsApp is an optional service from Meta that can answer your questions, teach you something, or help come up with new ideas.

Note:
  • Meta AI and some experiences are currently only available in limited countries and might not be available to you yet, even if others in your country have access.
  • At this time, only English, Arabic, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese are supported.
You can:
  • Have conversations with Meta AI
  • Chat with Meta AI in existing group chats
  • Ask questions and get helpful recommendations
  • Talk about shared interests
  • Interact with their content
  • Create AI-generated images in chats
  • Forward messages to Meta AI to ask questions or learn more
Feature availability varies by region. Messages from Meta AI are generated by artificial intelligence (AI), using a service from Meta, in response to the prompts and messages you send to the AI. When you choose to use these features, Meta receives your prompts, the messages you share, and feedback to deliver relevant responses directly to you.
Only messages that mention @Meta AI, or that people choose to share with Meta AI, can be read by Meta. Meta can’t read any other messages in your personal chats.
As always, your personal messages and calls are protected with end-to-end encryption, meaning no one outside of the chat, not even WhatsApp or Meta, can read, listen to, or share them.
Note:
  • Meta may use your prompts, the messages you share, and feedback to improve AI quality.
  • You have the option to delete individual chats with AIs or request the deletion of information you previously shared with Meta AI. Learn more in this article.
  • Meta uses AI chats consistent with Meta’s Privacy Policy. By using this feature, you agree to Meta’s AI Terms of Service.
  • Some messages generated by AIs might not be accurate or appropriate.
  • In some countries, to provide you with more relevant responses, Meta AI may use information from across accounts you’ve added in Accounts Center, such as Facebook or Instagram, and things like your interests, location, and profiles.
