How to subscribe to Meta Verified for Business on WhatsApp

Note: This feature may not be available to you yet. To check availability, go to Settings or Business Tools in the WhatsApp Business app and tap Meta Verified. If you don’t see the Meta Verified option, it’s not yet available to you.
Meta Verified is a subscription that helps your business establish its presence across WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.
Those interested in signing up for Meta Verified for Business on WhatsApp will need to apply and meet certain eligibility requirements. Prior to applying, please review the WhatsApp Business Policy to ensure compliance with our Terms of Service. We recommend carefully reviewing this article to understand how to comply with the Business Messaging and Commerce policies and to learn more about the appropriate uses of WhatsApp and the activities that violate the WhatsApp Terms of Service. We recommend having your business information ready before you begin the application process.

Once you’ve subscribed to Meta Verified, any attempts to link a Facebook or Instagram account to your WhatsApp Business account will result in your verification being canceled and you’ll have to resubscribe. If your WhatsApp Business account is linked to a business account on Facebook or Instagram, you may be prompted to log in to the Facebook or Instagram account before completing your subscription.

Notes:
- In order to successfully subscribe with these linked accounts, your Facebook or Instagram account must have Full control admin permissions. Learn more in this article.
- The business name you’d like to use for your Meta Verified subscription needs to match the name reflected on any business documentation you provide during the verification process.
To apply for Meta Verified for businesses on WhatsApp:
- From the Chatlist, tap Tools.
- Tap Meta Verified. If you don’t see the Meta Verified option, this means that it may not be available to you yet. Join the waitlist to be notified when it is available to you.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap the button for the subscription package we've recommended for your business.
- Select the account(s) you want to verify. You have the option of bundling your WhatsApp account with linked accounts on Facebook or Instagram and verify them all at the same time.
- Tap Continue.
- If your business account meets the eligibility requirements, you’ll be prompted to set up your payment method and make your first payment. Tap Pay and complete the payment process.
- Note: This payment will be refunded if Meta is unable to verify your business.
- Tap Next.
- Select your business. Then, tap Next. If your business account isn't provided as an option, tap None of these matches my business.
- Select a verification method. Then, tap Next.
- Provide your verification information, then tap Next or Submit.
- Tap Done.
Your application is now submitted. Meta will review your application and provide you with an update. The verification process may take up to three business days, and may take longer in some instances due to high volumes of submissions.
Add Protected business accounts after subscribing
If your business has multiple accounts on WhatsApp, you’ll need to add those accounts as Protected business accounts after purchasing a subscription for Meta Verified for businesses on WhatsApp. This helps protect associated accounts from being falsely banned for impersonation.
