How to make a WhatsApp call on Meta Quest

Note: WhatsApp isn’t available on Meta Horizon operating system (OS) versions older than v62. If your software version is older than v62, please update it.
You can use WhatsApp on Meta Quest to make calls in VR.

Make a WhatsApp voice call

  1. Open WhatsApp on Meta Quest.
  2. From the Chats screen, you can search for or select the person you’d like to make a WhatsApp voice call. Press the text field to open your keyboard. Enter your WhatsApp contact’s name or phone number.
    • You can also select and press the chat from your chatlist.
  3. Press the call icon, then press Start call.

Make a WhatsApp video call

  1. Open WhatsApp on Meta Quest.
  2. From the Chats screen, you can search for or select the person you’d like to make a WhatsApp video call. Press the text field to open your keyboard. Enter your WhatsApp contact’s name or phone number.
    • You can also select and press the chat from your chatlist.
  3. Press the video icon, then press Start call.
