About community admin controls

Community admins are responsible for creating and managing their communities on WhatsApp. To keep their community safe for all members, admins will have access to tools like:
  • Admin management: Promote or dismiss other community members as admins. Admins can also manage community information like the name, description and profile photo.
  • Group management: Choose which groups become part of their community. Form new groups, add pre-existing groups, or remove groups from the community. Members can choose to be added to the general chat.
  • Member management: Report and remove abusive accounts from the community.
  • Community deactivation: Deactivate the entire community. Only the admin who created the community can deactivate the community.
