About autofilling security codes on WhatsApp
Some apps require a one-time password or code as a security measure. You can choose to use your WhatsApp account to help you sign into these apps.
When the app is on the same device as your WhatsApp account, you may see an “autofill” prompt on the notification or message in WhatsApp. If you tap or click “autofill,” WhatsApp will seamlessly and securely share the code directly with the right app, making it easier for you to access the apps you need.
If you choose not to allow WhatsApp to autofill the code, you can still manually enter it into the app yourself.
Note: message content itself may not be the same as the image
Apps should always ask for permission before sending you a code via your WhatsApp account or any other kinds of messages. If you do not want a business to send you a one-time passcode over WhatsApp, you can select another delivery method that the business offers in their app.
