How to manage conversation tones

Conversation tones are the sounds played when you send and receive a message. By default, your conversation tones are turned on. The volume of conversation tones is controlled by your phone's notifications volume.
To turn these tones on or off:
  1. Open WhatsApp.
  2. Tap More options
    > Settings > Notifications > turn Conversation tones on or off.
Please note that adjusting the conversation tones settings will adjust the tones of both incoming and outgoing message.
