How to share your WhatsApp Status to other apps

Note: We’re building and testing out new features, like adding your account to Accounts Center and the ability to share status to Instagram, and they may not be available to you yet. Keep WhatsApp updated so you can get features as soon as they’re available.
You can use status sharing to share your status updates across apps. In available regions, you can add your WhatsApp account to Accounts Center to seamlessly share your status to Facebook and Instagram Stories.
To share individual status updates:
  1. Open your status and tap
    more (three vertical dots)
    .
    • Tap Share to Facebook.
    • Tap Share to Instagram.
    • Tap Share… and select an app.
  2. Tap Share.
In some regions, you might still be able to share updates to Facebook Stories without adding your WhatsApp to Accounts Center. Open your status and tap
more (three vertical dots)
> Share to Facebook > Share.

Add WhatsApp to Accounts Center

Accounts Center allows you to manage account settings and connected experiences across your Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Meta accounts. Learn how to add your WhatsApp account to Accounts Center.
Note:
  • To turn on status sharing, you must add your WhatsApp account to Account Center.
  • To add your WhatsApp account to Accounts Center, you’ll need an existing Facebook or Instagram account.

Automatically share updates to Facebook or Instagram Stories

To automatically share status updates to your Facebook and Instagram Stories, you must turn on status sharing.
To turn on status sharing:
  1. Tap Updates >
    more (three vertical dots)
    .
  2. Tap Automatically share your status.
  3. Tap OK.
Note: In some regions, you might be able to turn on sharing to Facebook Stories without adding your WhatsApp to Accounts Center.
  1. Tap Updates >
    more (three vertical dots)
    > Status Privacy > Facebook story.
  2. Tap Continue > Allow and continue.
  3. Log into your Facebook account.
  4. Tap Yes, finish adding.
