How to archive or unarchive a chat or group

The archive chat feature allows you to hide an individual or group chat from your chats list to better organize your conversations. You can view your archived chats by navigating to the bottom of the Chats list.
Note:
  • Archiving an individual or group chat won’t delete the chat or group.
  • Archiving all individual or group chats at once isn't supported on KaiOS.
  • Archived individual or group chats will unarchive when you receive a new message from the individual or group chat.

Archive an individual or group chat

  1. In your Chats list, select the individual or group chat you want to archive.
  2. Press Options > Archive > OK.

Unarchive an individual or group chat

You can access your Archived chats and decide to unarchive a chat at any time.
  1. Navigate to the bottom of the Chats list by pressing the down button > Archived chats.
  2. Select the individual or group chat you want to unarchive.
  3. Press Options > Unarchive > OK.
Note:
  • Archiving a chat doesn’t delete the chat or back it up.
  • Archived individual or group chats will stay archived when you receive a new message from that individual or group chat.
  • You won't receive notifications for archived chats unless you're mentioned or replied to.
  • The number next to Archived shows how many individual or group chats have unread messages.
  • An @ symbol shows when someone has replied to or mentioned you in an archived group chat.
