Alternative archive settings

When you receive a new message in the archived chat, the chat remains archived by default. To automatically unarchive a chat when new messages are received:
  1. In your Chats tab, tap
    more options
    > Settings.
  2. Tap Chats.
  3. Turn off Keep chats archived.
    • When Keep chats archived is off, archived chats move to the bottom of the Chats tab. The number next to Archived shows how many chats are in the archive.
Note:
  • Archiving a chat doesn’t delete the chat or back it up to your SD card.
  • You won't receive notifications for archived chats unless you're mentioned or replied to.
  • The number next to Archived shows how many individual or group chats have unread messages.
  • An @ symbol shows next to Archived when someone has replied to or mentioned you in an archived group chat.
