Before subscribing to Meta Verified for businesses on WhatsApp, verify that the following business and account information are up-to-date. Making changes to this information after you’ve subscribed may result in your subscription being canceled.
Business profile information
If your business name doesn't match the profile name associated with your WhatsApp Business account, we won't be able to verify your business for Meta Verified. If we're unable to complete your verification because those names don't match, you'll have the option to tap Update profile name. Once you've updated your profile name, tap Update name > Submit. It typically takes about 48 hours for us to review your information. We'll send you a notification once our review is complete.
If you don't want to change your profile name, you can verify another profile that's similar to or clearly associated with your business name.
Other WhatsApp business profile information such as business name, category, address, email, or website, will be locked once you’ve subscribed to Meta Verified. You will not be able to update these without losing your verified status.
Profile picture
Once your account is verified, you can apply to update your profile picture twice every 60 days. This helps us keep WhatsApp safe for everyone, and to protect your account from being impersonated.
Linked accounts on Facebook or Instagram
Linking a Facebook or Instagram account to a WhatsApp Business account with an active Meta Verified subscription, may result in the cancellation of that subscription. To avoid this, we recommend adding those accounts to your WhatsApp Business account before subscribing. Learn how to link Facebook and Instagram accounts to your WhatsApp business accounts in this article.
Additionally, if your WhatsApp business account is linked to a Facebook or Instagram account in the Meta Business Suite, you may be redirected to sign in to that account and complete the subscription process on Meta Business Suite. Learn more about linked accounts in this article.
Changing your business information or linking a Facebook page or Instagram account to your profile after you’ve subscribed to Meta Verified, your verification will be canceled and you’ll need to resubscribe with your new information. Note that canceling your Meta Verified subscription removes all but your 4 most recently used linked devices and removes your web page from the web 15 days after your subscription expires. The link address becomes available for others to claim 30 days after your subscription expires. If your subscription is canceled, you’ll need to resubscribe to get your verified badge, re-link your devices, and create a new web page link address. Before resubscribing, make sure the information on your profile is accurate and up to date.
