  • When you receive a chat from the WhatsApp official channel you'll see this system message: "This is an official account of WhatsApp. Tap to learn more".
  • You can’t message this chat. We won’t ask you to share any personal information.
If you receive a chat message from an account without
verified checkmark badge
claiming to be WhatsApp, it's a scam. You should never reply to anyone pretending to be WhatsApp. Please report and block this number.
