Seeing "Your phone number was registered with WhatsApp on a new device"
If someone tries to use your phone number to register a WhatsApp account on their device, you can use your phone to log them out and recover access to your WhatsApp account. All other devices will be logged out and the account will be returned to you.
How to recover your account
If you see the message “Your phone number was registered with WhatsApp on a new device,” tap Log back in > Continue. If prompted, enter your phone number and tap Next > Ok.
For extra security, turn on two-step verification, which will require a PIN when registering your phone number with WhatsApp again. Learn more about two-step verification in this article.
